Bring bold Indian flavour to the barbecue with our Tikka BBQ Rub. Made for easy marinades and big flavour, it’s delicious with chicken, steak and plenty more besides.

For a quick tikka-style marinade, simply mix the rub with yoghurt and a little salt, coat your meat and cook on the barbecue or under the grill. A squeeze of lemon at the end brings everything together beautifully. If you have time, leave it to marinate for a couple of hours to let those spices really get to work.

Perfect for chicken breasts, drumsticks, diced chicken or steak, and just as handy when you want to make an everyday dinner taste a bit more special.

Easy to use, full of flavour and made for barbecue season.

Chicken: 500 gm
Yoghurt: 1 tbsp
Salt: To taste
Oil of your choice
Lemon: a few drops

Cooking on grill
Set the Grill on medium heat. Dice the chicken and mix it with salt, yoghurt and 3 tablespoons of Tikka Rub. Tip the meat into an oven tray and spray some oil on top. Turn the meat often so that it cooks evenly. Make sure to spray oil on top of the chicken as it cooks so that it doesn’t become dry. Cook for 10 minutes or until the chicken is perfectly cooked. Sprinkle a few drops of lemon juice and enjoy hot.

On the Barbecue
Use whole chicken breasts or drumsticks for your barbecue. Yoghurt and spice marinade works perfectly well for steak too. If steak, then use half a tsp more spice mix.

Lightly score the meat and use the above marinade prepared for the grilled chicken. Marinating for a couple of hours will help to absorb all the spices well but no issues if that’s not possible. Cook your meat to your desired level on a barbecue and make sure that oil is sprayed to keep the meat moist. Finish by sprinkling a few drops of lemon. Finally, enjoy with some lovely beer!!
